Telling the difference between drawings by Rembrandt and his pupils is a centuries-old problem.
This tidy little thing is the kiosk-based component of the “Drawings by Rembrandt and His Pupils: Telling the Difference” exhibit on view exclusively at the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center from December 8, 2009-February 28, 2010. I was brought into this project when the client realized that letting the user browse 50MB high-resolution files was not going to be as simple online as it was in a kiosk. The solution? Implement the same functionality used by a mapping UI like ModestMaps.
